{"id":93138,"date":"2024-11-05T08:57:31","date_gmt":"2024-11-05T08:57:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/myplantgarden.com\/?p=93138"},"modified":"2024-11-05T08:57:31","modified_gmt":"2024-11-05T08:57:31","slug":"export-of-plants-to-great-britain-help-from-the-english-government","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/myplantgarden.com\/en\/export-of-plants-to-great-britain-help-from-the-english-government\/","title":{"rendered":"Export of plants to Great Britain: help from the English Government"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The UK government has launched an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/check-plant-health-information-and-import-rules\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online search engine<\/a> providing producers and traders of plants and flowers from other countries with all the information needed when sending their products to England, Scotland, and Wales.<\/p>\n<p>Since Brexit, plant products must undergo health checks at the border, which, according to <em>The Horticultural Trades Association <\/em>(HTA), cause significant delays, with product hold times of up to 44 hours. They also highlight that the new border system has resulted in a 25% increase in import costs.<\/p>\n<p>In this context, and following numerous requests from British professionals to improve the flow of goods, the UK government has launched this plant health information service, which allows users to consult the latest regulations for importing plants, plant products, or seeds for commercial use; a list of plants that may be affected by pests; and all updated information on non-native pests and diseases that pose a risk to Great Britain.<\/p>\n<p>The tool is a form where users can select the importing country, exporting country, plant name, and product type.
