New President and new Board of Directors. Focus on collaboration, promotion of Italian nursery production, and involvement of younger generations.

ANVE – National Association of Exporting Nurserymen held its annual Assembly at the Vivai Capitanio showroom in Monopoli, bringing together members to review the activities carried out and outline the prospects of the Italian nursery sector.

The meeting also marked the conclusion of the term of outgoing President Luigi Pagliani, who, in his farewell speech, reviewed the main achievements of the past four years, highlighting the values that have guided the Association’s work: collaboration, growth, unity, and openness towards Europe.

At the end of the Assembly, members elected Moreno Pinto as the new President. Having already served as Vice President during the previous term, he takes office in a spirit of continuity with the Association’s development path.

“It is a great source of pride for me to take on this role,” said Pinto, “and at the same time an important responsibility. My commitment will be to continue the work already started, strengthening ANVE’s role as a point of reference for the sector and promoting an increasingly shared and future-oriented action, with particular attention to younger generations.”

With the renewal of its offices, the new ANVE Board of Directors for the 2026–2028 term also takes shape. It is composed of representatives from the main Italian nursery-growing areas and is designed to ensure balanced territorial representation within the Association’s governance.

Supporting the Board of Directors, in the role of auditors/observers, will also be Marta Acciarri, Giuseppe Caporale, Luigi Di Primio, and Past Presidents Maurizio Lapponi, Marco Cappellini, and Luigi Pagliani.

Among the priority objectives of the new term are strengthening collaboration among members, promoting the excellence of Italian ornamental nursery production on national and international markets, and developing initiatives dedicated to young professionals in the sector. In this context, “ANVE Lab” plays a key role, a project presented during the two-day event in Puglia and strongly supported by the new President and by Myplant & Garden through the consortium of the same name.

With its renewed institutional structure, ANVE looks to the coming years with the goal of consolidating its representativeness, fostering innovation, and strengthening the presence of Italian nursery production in an increasingly international and competitive environment.
