V Group, organizer of Myplant & Garden, has become part of Italian Exhibition Group Spa (IEG), which has shares in Euronext Milan, a market regulated and managed by Borsa Italiana Spa.
Valeria Randazzo, CEO of V Group, will keep managing the company aided by her team, and the trade fair Myplant & Garden will still be held in Fiera Milano Rho.
Entering a large group that is a leader in the organization of trade fairs and congresses will allow Myplant & Garden to further accelerate its growth, consolidate its leadership both in Italy and the international scene, and invest in new initiatives, partnerships and strategic markets.
The agreement with IEG presupposes that in the next few years the trade fair will still be held in Fiera Milano Rho, and that V Group will keep its independence as far as management and operations are concerned. IEG recognizes the role that V Group has had in shaping the growth and success of Myplant & Garden.
Ms. Randazzo comments: “I am proud of what we have done so far for the garden industry, and I am flattered that a big international player such as IEG has decided to invest in the future of the trade fair, supporting the team at V Group and our projects. The opportunities that derive from this agreement will allow Myplant & Garden to develop even further.”
Furthermore, the Consorzio Myplant & Garden — which is formed by a group of companies that operate in the garden industry and has been promoting the trade fair since its very beginning — has elected its new president. Marco Orlandelli, CEO of Organizzazione Orlandelli, will succeed Gianpietro D’Adda, CEO of Vivai D’Adda, as president of the Consorzio. Mr. D’Adda had been appointed president in 2015. Mr. Orlandelli comments: “The Consorzio will keep supporting Valeria and her team with the goal of making Myplant & Garden grow further on an international level, to make the Italian horticulture industry more visible even abroad.”
The next edition of Myplant & Garden is scheduled for 22-23-24 February 2023 in Fiera Milano Rho.
