Leading the northern regions is Liguria, the “queen of flowers,” with over 437 million in floricultural production alone and nearly 8 million in nursery crops; followed by Lombardy, which shows a slight contraction (-0.7%) in nursery production at 163 million euros but a growth in floricultural cultivation (113 million euros, +1.8%).
Other decisive regions for the horticultural market in the north are Emilia-Romagna (152 million euros), Veneto (over 132 million euros, +1.7%), Piedmont (almost 86 million euros), and Friuli-Venezia Giulia (84 million euros, with continuous growth over the years).
