The selected companies for the Myplantech 2025 edition offer interesting solutions for the most diverse sectors. Important contributions are made to the protection of soil, increasingly threatened by pollution and water shortage with different ecologoical solutions to promote optimal plant growth and prevent diseases. There are also several proposals for the latest technologies for off-ground crops and process digitalization: among the most innovative are those that allow sensors to dialogue with AI and transfer data in real time. And more, instrumentation for research centres to implement crop growth and health, and new applications of robotics, such as on golf courses. Moreover some solutions for landscape design, from vertical walls to drainage floors and real-time land measurement systems.
Adaptation to climate change and its consequences, from water shortage to plant disease control, are the priority goals of current research to achieve concrete solutions.

Using radio wave technology, the battery-powered sensors can transmit information from even large distances.
More vigorous plants _ Agrita
The new multiple seed and cutting trays of the Roothus® line are patented systems for nurseries. The cultivation cells are able to generate a unique root and radial apparatus and guarantee almost 100% success in transplantation. The young plants can stay in these trays even for a long time without altering the stem. The Roothus® are printed with PP recovery plastic obtained from a patented system and they are reusable many times. The advantages of this system are: higher density of the root system, greater oxygenation, faster growth, better quality and health of the plants, elimination of root spiralization.
The Magnificent 3 _ Albagarden
The new product of the Albagarden line is the result of research carried out by the Technical and Technological Institute of Villa d’Agri (Pz) and the Agricom team. The formula Ze3o exploits the synergistic power of the three elements: zeolite, sulphur and copper and is usable for all types of plants, providing a complete and balanced nutrition for healthy and lush growth. Zeolite is a valuable ally for the soil, able to retain water and essential nutrients. Gradual release improves soil structure by increasing porosity and aeration and also promoting root development. Sulphur is crucial for protein synthesis and chlorophyll formation, as well as fighting off parasites. Finally, copper is a vital microelement that promotes photosynthesis and cellular respiration by providing a barrier against fungi and bacteria.
Light for plant growth tests _ Ambra Elettronica
Elettra Multicanale is the lamp designed for research centers to perform experimental tests of plant growth. It provides accurate cultivation parameters by changing different intensity and spectrum up to 16 independent channels, one of which is dedicated to UV light. The channels can be controlled manually or by wifi or bluetooth connected to an app on the smartphone.
Technology for the substrate industry _ Andritz AG
To reduce the environmental impact of peat, the Austrian company Andritz, a world leader in the supply of plant, equipment and services for severals industries, presents Substrate Pressafiner, the patented low-energy machinery for producing wood fibers for substrates. This machine is able to work all types of wood, even recycled. During operation an innovative system ensures the process control to achieve the desired fiber quality. The company ensures low maintenance costs.
Optimized processes for the soilless farming _ Aqua Farm
The company Benefit Aqua Farm, presents an innovative aquaponic system (patent pending) more efficient and ecological, thanks to a new biofilter concept and the optimization of the circularity of processes. The research of the start-up is oriented to the search for synthetic solutions for plant growth that with technological support allows to standardize processes and reduce costs with an average energy consumption of 1 kWh/ kg of product for agro-industrial productions.
Circularity and water saving _ Arber Horticulture
AR- Containermulch, distributed by Arber Horticulture, is the mixture composed mainly of fiber and wood chips used as a cover material in pot or on the ground. It is thermally sanitized to avoid plant health risks. This mixture reduces water evaporation and is a thermal insulator that protects the roots by increasing the growth of the plant. It is biodegradable and give back nutrients to the soil. It also helps to reduce erosion and the use of chemical herbicides.
Healthy roots with algae _ Biocanna
The BioRHIZOTONIC root stimulant with algae is certified by Control Union Certifications as a natural product suitable for organic farming. It contains various vitamins and promotes the regeneration of the roots allowing to penetrate deeper into the soil increasing the resistance of the plant. It is particularly suitable for the transfer and transplantation of plants and during periods of drought or in the changes of season. Blue Birds Industries presents the Remote Control FM 24-70, a range of products designed to simplify work and maintenance of green areas, after of long research. Traditional cutting is redefined by radio-controlled machines. The model Remote Control FM 24-70 is radio controllable up to 200 meters, ultra compact, light and easily steerable and portable, also suitable for steep slopes and terrain.
The Segway Navimow X390 robots use virtual borders for green management. This new series represents the height of technological evolution applied to garden robots, combining innovative design, superior performance and cutting-edge technologies. Thanks to the Artificial Intelligence-Assisted Mapping, the robot is able to learn and adapt to its environment, optimizing cutting paths and minimizing the need for intervention by the user. A product to reduce the drought _ Compo Italia
COMPO BIO Soil Aqua Depot combines natural products with an innovative technology to improve soil water retention using organic substances to absorb and retain water. It is made of lignin-based granules, a by-product of paper that can hold 10 to 15 grams of water per gram of product once watered. Water is then released to the roots of plants, useful in periods of drought. Aqua Depot is an ecological product that degrades into nutrients for the soil and is composed of raw materials allowed in organic farming, banks of animal by-products and the packaging is 100% recyclable.
The robot for golf courses _Cormik Spa
The Rangepicker robot, distributed by Cormik, controlled remotely, collects golf balls independently according to a user-defined programming. When the battery is low and the ball basket is full, the robot will go back to the charging station or to unload the collected balls.
The robot’s charging station is also a point for unloading collected balls. Once the ball basket is full, the robot returns to the discharge station, unloads the balls and starts collecting again according to the programmed schedule. Zero direct emissions: 100% electric operation ensures zero impact. The batteries use LiFePO4 rechargeable Lithium Iron Phosphate cells to guarantee a long machine operating life.
Innovative materials for the landscape _ Heidelberg Materials Italy Concrete Spa
The conscious use of water as a valuable asset is a priority for Heidelberg Materials (formerly Italcementi), which has long been focusing its research on water-saving solutions in its materials. i.idro DRAIN is the very high drainage capacity material for outdoor flooring. This concrete, designed for sidewalks, bike paths and parking lots, also has thermal properties and reduces urban heat islands in summer by up to 20% compared to asphalt.
The high-performance substrate _ Gramoflor
Sel peat-free is the peat-free substrate created for transplanting plants with particular root sensitivity. It is produced by the German company Gramoflor, the first to have obtained the HortiCert certification. The raw materials used give the substrate a good structure and excellent permeability. Meo Carbon Solution, the calculation service of HortiCert, measured a CO2 saving of 77% compared to a 100% peat substrate and a carbon footprint of 55.52 CO2 eq/m3 (including various factors like transport).
The ecological weeding system _ Herbeeside
The innovative ecological weeding system created by the sardinian company Herbeeside promotes biodiversity through the use of a 100% natural additive patented, This additive is produced by food scraps of citrus and honey that is dispensed by the machine at temperatures up to 140 °C. The high temperature dries weeds in less than 24 hours acting also on the roots, without dispersing harmful substances into the soil. This system helps to feed the soil and pollinating insects. One of the waste that make up the additive is the pompia, a typical sardinian citrus used in cosmetics and for food purposes. The circular supply chain of this system minimizes the environmental impact and enhances the local economy and the reintegration into work of people with disabilities, through projects in municipal land in the Siniscola area.

IPM Geo Grip is a system for outdoor flooring and roads that is non-slip and flexible. It is made of natural aggregates and binder with performance enhancing characteristics. It is ideal for installation on asphalt and concrete pavements and it is approved for type 1 roads. It has a thickness of only 2/4mm and gives the pavement a pleasant appearance, as well as making it resistant and durable over time.
Natural protection _ Ital-Agro
The PFnPO Systemic Fungicide from Ital-Agro has a natural composition based on phosphorus and potassium, substances useful for the development and optimal growth of plants. The special manufacturing process makes potassium phosphorate a systemic fungicide that can be transferred into the plant, especially useful against the peronospores of ornamental plants. The plant over time manages to degrade the compound by assimilating the most useful elementary elements for its development.

The Environment division of the Valagussa Italiana Terricci Group has developed the Pasteurized Compost, a substrate worked out by the R&D laboratory for tests and trials in the agronomic and biological sector, which is also used in the fight against weeds and micro-bacteria.
The Pasteurized Earth has low concentration of microorganisms, obtained through a rigorous thermal sanitization process. During production the substrate is maintained at a constant temperature and controlled pressure for an appropriate period.
In the laboratory, Pasteurized Earth is used to evaluate plant responses to chemical reactions and to test the growth of specific micro-organisms, fungal spores and insect larvae.

Data is transmitted directly via the Bluetooth-connected app, transforming measurements into dynamic images in real time. These data can be exported to pdf or directly to CAD. This tracking system uses X2-PRO sensors and is an upgrade of the previous model.

The Dutch company has developed an innovative transport tray system, currently in the concept and patent-pending phase. It has minimal impact on current processes and is simple in logistics and storage. This solution aligns with the new EU PPWR legislation, ensuring sustainability and minimal disruption. The system features universal carriers made from at least 35% recycled content.
